Transit in the San Gabriel Valley

The Metro A Line light rail now runs through the foothills to Pomona; its extension to Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne and Pomona opened in September 2025. That links several of these cities to Pasadena and downtown Los Angeles without a car. Covina and La Puente are farther from the A Line, so ask each home how residents usually get to work and meetings.

Choosing a home in the San Gabriel Valley

Because many homes here are small and close in price, compare how they are run: who manages the house, the drug testing and curfew rules, and what happens after a relapse. If you have children or are pregnant, ask early; only one listing here says it accepts women with children. Our guide on how to check a sober living home covers the rest, and the Los Angeles sober living page compares this area with the rest of LA County.
