Southeast Los Angeles and Long Beach have 42 sober living homes in this guide, the most of any area we list, and 37 of them are in Long Beach. Almost all publish a price: listed rents run from $400 to $950 a month, with a typical (median) price of about $750, below the county-wide typical of about $800.

Transit in Long Beach and Southeast LA

The Metro A Line runs from downtown Long Beach north through Compton to downtown Los Angeles, and the C Line crosses the area east to west through Norwalk. If you will rely on transit for work or outpatient care, ask each home how far it is from the nearest line.

Looking at sober living options in Southeast LA and Long Beach?

Long Beach alone accounts for most of the homes in this region, including coed homes and a home that accepts women with children, which are harder to find elsewhere. Residents of Downey, Norwalk, Compton and nearby cities can stay close to home and still have dozens of houses to choose from. If you’re coming from Orange County, Long Beach is close enough to keep ties without being in the same neighborhood.
