Other homes are listed free, from the Sober Living Network’s public member directory or checked on the home’s own website, October 2026. Prices and openings change — confirm with the home before you go. Sober living homes in California are not licensed by the state; Sober Living Network membership means the home passed that network’s inspection and standards. See our listing policy. What women’s homes in Los Angeles cost
Of the 30 women’s homes listed here, 25 publish a price. The middle price is about $800 a month, and half of them fall between about $690 and $900. Nineteen of the 25 list $900 or less. A few cost much more, up to $3,500 and $6,000 a month. Two San Pedro homes charge $50 a day, which comes to about $1,500 a month. Prices change, so confirm the rent, deposit and what is included when you call. Our cost guide explains what usually is and isn’t covered.
Almost half of the listed women’s homes are in the Harbor area and the South Bay: seven in San Pedro, five in Long Beach and two in Torrance. Only two of the listed homes are clearly on the Westside, in Westchester and Marina del Rey, so if you need to stay near work or family there, start calling early.
Mothers, children and pregnancy
Few of the women’s homes listed here take children. Of the 30 homes above, one, Serenity and Steps in Long Beach, says it accepts women with children. Total Restoration Ministries in Pomona, a coed listing that is not in the list above, also lists housing for women with children. If you are pregnant, ask whether the house allows it, how far it is from your prenatal care, and what happens when the baby arrives.
Prescribed medication, including for opioid use
Policies on prescribed medication vary from house to house. If you take medication for opioid use disorder, such as buprenorphine or methadone, or any other prescription, ask the home about its policy before you move in, and get the answer in writing if you can. County-funded Recovery Bridge Housing beds allow medication for addiction treatment; see our guide to free and county-funded sober living.
Safety: how to check a women’s home
California’s Department of Health Care Services does not license or certify sober living homes, and a listing here does not mean any government agency has inspected the house. Visit before you commit, ask to speak with a current resident, and ask who has keys and who is in the house at night. Homes that belong to a group that inspects its members, such as the Sober Living Network, have agreed to outside standards. Our checklist on how to check a sober living home covers what to look for.
