Structured men’s sober living in Los Angeles for residents of Thousand Oaks — a set daily routine, real accountability, peer support and help getting back to work.
Thousand Oaks is comfortable, and comfort can be its own trap in early recovery — the same friends, the same backyards, the same easy access. Our homes are in Los Angeles, about forty-five minutes east on the 101. For men coming out of treatment in Ventura County, we offer a house with real accountability and a city with more meetings and more work than the Conejo Valley can provide. Families in Thousand Oaks stay close enough to be part of the process, which is how we prefer it.
Thousand Oaks is comfortable, and comfort is its own trap in early recovery — the same friends, the same backyards, the same easy access behind a nice front door. Our homes are in Los Angeles, about an hour southeast on the 101. For men from Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village and Newbury Park, the distance is enough to break the daily pattern while keeping family and a Conejo Valley job within reach.
A fixed wake-up time, a plan for the day the house manager knows, meetings, random drug testing, curfew, rotating chores and a weekly house meeting. It’s a plain house on purpose. Residents work, look for work, go to school or attend outpatient; nobody sits at home. The peer group is men from across Southern California who don’t know Thousand Oaks and don’t know your story.
Men 18 and over who have completed detox. Most Conejo Valley residents come to us after a residential program or while finishing an IOP; some come from home. If you need medical supervision or aren’t willing to live by house rules, we’ll tell you on the first call. Admissions: (424) 327-9081.
Men from across Ventura County live in our Los Angeles homes. We also work with residents from:

Our house managers and staff bring real training and experience to your recovery. Our homes are in Los Angeles, and we treat them as your home away from home — a place to strengthen hard-earned sobriety, get back to work, and build the independent life that comes after.
Having clear house rules, chores, sober-focused routines, and curfews helps you to remain focused on your recovery and personal growth.
Living with other men who share the same sober goals as you do will enable you to foster personal ownership toward your recovery as well as a sense of community and belonging. You will benefit firsthand from seeing how other men deal with their challenges and learn from their experiences and wisdom.
In our sober living homes, you will learn and reinforce life skills like cleaning, cooking, budgeting, and employment. These real-world skills become the foundation for your independence as you journey toward your new sober life.
You will participate in regular fun activities like movie nights, local sightseeing, hiking, beach exploration, and even volunteering activities.
Our sober-focused environment will deter relapse by providing a safe environment away from psychoactive substances and promoting healthy ways of living. You will also have access to immediate care and support if you feel vulnerable or experience strong cravings/urges to use substances.
Post-detox/rehab, moving directly to daily life can be jarring. Our sober living homes serve as the transitional bridge you need between intensive rehab settings and full freedom.
Sober living homes are ideal for individuals who are committed to recovery and need a structured, supportive environment. This includes:
